High-Resolution Human Centromere Coordinates

GRCH38 Reference Genome based on CHM1 Genome Data

Data Information

This page presents high-resolution (base-level) chromosomal centromere position coordinates for the human genome based on the GRCH38 reference genome.

Data Source: The centromere sequence is derived from the hydatidiform mole cell line (CHM1) genome. These sequences are then blasted onto the GRCH38 human reference genome. The BLAST results were manually checked and corrected appropriately.
